Each usage type on Fairbeat comes with different files and usage rights. Here's what to expect from each.
Basic Lease#
- Files: MP3
- Usage: Limited streams, sales units, and performances (exact limits set by the seller)
- Stems: Not included
- Exclusivity: Non-exclusive — the seller can sell to other buyers
Premium Lease#
- Files: MP3 + WAV
- Usage: Higher limits than Basic (set by seller)
- Stems: Included if the seller provides them
- Exclusivity: Non-exclusive
Unlimited Lease#
- Files: MP3 + WAV + Stems (if available)
- Usage: Unlimited streams, sales, and performances
- Exclusivity: Non-exclusive — the seller may still sell usage rights to others
Exclusive#
- Files: MP3 + WAV + Stems (if available)
- Usage: Unlimited, commercial
- Exclusivity: You are the sole rights holder — the seller cannot sell usage rights to anyone else after your purchase
